Can't catch a rabbit!

Can't catch a rabbit!

I've last played this a year ago.. using Ender's client.. rightclick will not attempt to catch a rabbit. It doesn't do anything at all. Rabbit doesn't flee, I don't approach it. Rightclick on a tree does bring up the contextual menu (pick branch, etc). Anyone know what's going on?

You need some sort of skill, be it hunting or something of the sort.
