The wiki page on pigs is woefully incomplete - If anyone has the time, I ask them kindly to update it with their knowledge.
The question I have is: Do pigs eat the same amount as other livestock, when both preggers and non-preggers? I read something about their "low upkeep" on the forum a while past, but haven't seen any numbers.

Drop information in this thread please for updating the RoBWiki

In my experience when non preggers are seperated they eat not that much - preggers eat really much - i didn't see difference to sheeps when it comes to fodder
(never had the same amount in cows, bulls, calves as sheep and pigs )

Re: Pig Fodder
Pig, sheep, pregnant or not eats 4,8 points of food per day. Same with cow/bull. Pregnant cow on other hand needs 48 points of food per day.

Re: Pig Fodder
This is just a relative feal I got from the animals I had but I think prego sheep eat half as much as a prego cow and prego pigs are the least demanding. I might make a more detailed experiment on this matter but as of now I I think and suspect piggys are the least fooder demanding animal.

Re: Pig Fodder
IIRC pigs and sheep eat the same, which is half of what cows eat. Pregnant animals eat like 10x more.

Re: Pig Fodder
Do animals eating quality food under what their "genetic levels" are "harm" the genetic levels.... or do they simply result in the final byproducts being a lower quality?

Re: Pig Fodder
Pigs also seem to give birth to babies at a quicker rate - I have 3 babies from a single breeding pair, on the second day after the 3rd birth, and the first hasn't grown up yet.

Doesn't an underquality fed breeding pair act like that quality until their food values go up though?Potjeh wrote:Byproducts only.

Re: Pig Fodder
Nope, my pigs meat quantity was ahead of my fodder quality.. I've even had cows with severe starvation give birth to normal calves.
