Cut grass and break jars? This has worked for me in the past. Sometimes they're hiding under rocks, too.

Hmmmm, unless I am not mistaken, the OP could be referring to just basic coins. Don't forget that some Nation actually refer to their currency as Rupees. If that so is the case.

Coins are made from Bars at now apparently 100coins to a single bar. You need to use a coin press for them.
Another way to get coins is making and selling food and linen. Both are being bought in large amounts on market zones.
