Drying meat/jerkies
My idea is simple, easy to do and I hope you will support me.
Nothing to explain, just check out my attachment.

Pixel art is (and always will be) better than this plastic looking Hafen you gave us here.

Typically, meat was salted and smoked to preserve it. Since food doesn't have a sell-by date in HnH, maybe it grants an extra benefit? Increases FEP by a percentage, since you're doing more work?
I wouldn't use a drying frame. The oven might be better.

Combined from salt, which is a product from mining, either by veins or by biproduct. think strange crystal.

I'd prefer salt coming from a new salt flat biome (think acre clay mud flats), where you can boil the crystallized water and extract the salt, or chip salt from crystals like people used to do before machinery.

It has been hinted that this will be in the next build.

I kinda hope they avoid the whole 'food has a lifespan' aspect in that thread. The game gets grindy enough at times as is, and I don't think it would add much to the gameplay or mechanics.

Im with this post I give it a +1
The Lord of sneaking, the silent steps of paws, fast as a bird, and as smart as a advanced human... this is what a Fox is and what it will always be.

Well, you won't grind if you don't need it, because it will decay before you eat it.
So food lifespan causes not more but less grinding.
