Carry a full bucket of water?

I cant seem to fill a bucket. every time i try to, i end up dropping the bucket in the water.

Pick up bucket with left click, right click the water with it in your hand.

Then what? I can't move once the bucket is full and it won't go back into my inventory. I left click on the ground and "plop" into the water. I've tried right clicking on a nearby tanning tub, but my toon just stays in the water...

After it's full, left click your characters equipment screen (Ctrl-E).

They should equip it in the hand slot (axe/saw slots) and be able to carry it back to wherever.

(also note, that tanning tubs don't accept water like before - I ended up having to store the water in a barrel first
