Im standing next to Crucible but when trying to craft raw glass it says You need to be using a crucible. WTF!?
Am I needed to turn this crucible on somehow? Of what to do?

You have to wait for the kiln to burn out before you can collect the charcoal. Tar is produced as the wood burns.
