Tanning fluid production issue

Seems strange and possibly can be used badly:
1. Get a bucket with water in one hand, get an empty bucket in other hand;
2. Get any water container in pack with water in it;
3. Open tanning fluid production window and notice your water container is highlighted;
4. Craft;
5. Get a bucket of fluid, bucket with water from your container and an empty container.

Your complaint is that it selects your water skin, or whatever?

Sorry, i'm not in a mood to figure out can i use it in some lucrative way, but this obviously seems strange how water from my flask moves into a bucket after crafting.

It's strange that water automatically moves into a bucket.

So you're saying is that you should have to manually place the items into your bucket and then manually pour water into the target bucket instead of using a crafting recipe? your logic... it no makes sense.

I bet if you had a barrel full of water nearby, you could make two buckets of tanning fluid at once. Case in point, why couldn't this be the case if you were standing in the lake?

Seems a little ass backwards that it's no longer mixed in the actual pool, but glad I figured it out.

Also Magic; It doesn't seem to pull from a barrel, so single bucket at a time, unless there's some kind of tool that will make it later. Perhaps a metal tanning vat or something

it was a wild guess at something that MIGHT be able to be done as you seem to be able to craft anything else from containers if the containers are open, and a somewhat subtle suggestion that if this isn't so, please make it that way to jorb.

Nah, that one needs to be less subtle, because it really is needed. If anything be able to make a Barrel full of tanning liquid would be nice. Especially since the leather bug is gone
