Fighters suck at hunting

Post by maze »

So i taking down a fox, a horse, a bear with UA.... I CANT FUCKING CATCH THE THINGS.
every bloody fking time it runs like hell. heals up and when i start the fight the next go. it has super powers....takes a chunk of my hp. then runs like fk again....

Can we please put a "cripple" effect on animles that have been hit with UA or Melee moves?

It's called "hunting" not a JRPG where the mobs trade blows with you until one of you dies... if it was you and you were losing you would run as well.

There is a reason why hunters used bows and spears to put animals down. Not saying that Haven must be some realistic survival simulator, but it's nice that lots of things here at least makes some sense.

im sorry but I take down boars and rabbits with my hands in real life. I smash there legs. you cant tell me bullshit that they can run.
in real life if i hit a fking animles its not fking getting away unless it can kills me first.

The last time i beat the shit out of a dude who was at the brick of death i remember him crawling, not sprinting the fk away.

GREAT i scared a bat it ran away, now it wont get the fuck out of a tree.

In HnH 1.0 you were able to deaggro then run up to the fkers and give em the last punch of death. now i gotta aggro and wait for my punch to load....

Why are you trying to kill a single bat in a tree when you could just as easily go to a cave and find dozens of them with no trees to get in the way?

When the animal starts to run, immediately rush in the opposite direction of it. The quicker you distance it from your minimap view, the faster it stops running. Then you run back up to it and it's usually standing still. Rinse repeat until dead. Save for bears, be ready for enrage mode. Animals do not heal quickly at all, so you should have no trouble in that department unless you're waiting hours in between each blow. If your getting chunks of hp taken away - you either have too low of UA to fight that animal, you have the wrong defensive maneuvers up, or you don't understand that some animals have defensive counter attacks that will reflect back to you if you do not handle them properly. (Boar is a prime example)

I find it hilarious that you have a person with a bear skin as a cape as your forum avatar, and give good advice on how to deal with running animals while hunting.

I just chase animals that run away and kick them in ass, No one escaped so far.
