Chair quality and stamina regen

So with the joy that is mining in haven, I've found myself sitting in a chair a lot more than I'm used to. I knew chairs in legacy helped recover stamina quite a bit faster, but I feel like the chairs now are somewhat less helpful. So I grabbed my phone and used the stopwatch to start timing how long it took to gain 1% back, and my results were:

Standing : stamina seemed to recover at a rate of 1% per 11-12 seconds, occasionally the regen would happen after 6 seconds.
Sitting: stamina seemed to recover at a rate of 1% per (you guessed it) 11-12 seconds, also with the occasional 6 second regen, but not nearly as often as when I was standing.


So can anybody help elaborate on this issue? The chair i'm sitting on is undoubtedly of poor quality, probably >5, could that be why i'm seeing almost no difference between using the chair and standing? I'm also curious as to why the regeneration time was seemingly halved at random times, is that just the way it's always worked?

my crap chair was actually destroyed by a cave in right after I posed this

my new chair is q10 and it's timing in at 1% per 6 seconds consistently, so it looks like it might actually matter.

Can anyone confirm that this continues to scale up with chair q??

I'm kind of doubtful people will have quality wood to spend on that quite this early. It's been a slow start and most people are just using water.

Chairs do not helpt stamina regeneration at present, though arguably they should. Will look at that.
