Bug with getting on horse near cliff

I gave a horse a clover and went to hop on, i noticed it was pathing around a cliff trying to get to the other side just naturally. I went to "giddy up" and immediately got thrown off with damage. I was then stuck inside the horse hitbox and couldn't move, had to hearth out. seemed like the cliff had something to do with it.

Not sure if this is actual bug or just really bad luck, I heard horses can kick you off before stam runs out but i've mounted like 80 times and been fine.

It may be that someone else had ridden the horse previously?

Hmm could be, but I don't think so, I'm out in the boonies (almost edge of map) And noone else seemed to be around.

I really think it was me trying to giddy up while the horse was below the cliff (well it was at the edge pathing to other side) cus soon as I hopped on it did damage I didn't ride anywhere or anything. I'll try to replicate it again if I get the chance.

But you can't ride a horse that someone else has clovered, or am I wrong? Is there a cooldown to that? If the horse does not despawn does it just wander around until somebody else finds it without regaining any stamina?

I was thinking the same thing kaos, maybe after someone rides it, time passes, and it goes into a new fresh state or something?

You can re-clover depleted horses after a while, which is probably what happened here. Working as intended. Check Pony Power before using.
