Do village claims no longer go thought mine holes?

How do I make a village claim go thought one now?

if they still do-
There seems to be a bug with mine.

built a flag/banner under your current village claim.
this should extend it to that lvl
starting on lvl 1

Would this also happen if you build a minehole on a spot with a flag already-
Does a flag 100% have to be build ontop of mine hole or anywhere to update the Village limits?
Since the minehole might not check to extend the village.
But a flag does.

I would say this is a semi "bug".

Just needs to be somewhere under the existing claim if I recall correctly, but has to be one level below an existing claim. Can't skip a level.
