I happily found a nice piece of land and for some weird reason, my things keep disappearing. First it was my boat, then my cupboard, and just today my quiver and bow. I have ranging and i cant see any scents. At first i just thought that i was forgetting about leaving things places, but with the continuation of missing things I'm pretty sure it's just someone who grinded to get theft and a high stealth. Here's is a picture of my land and if you are the thief and your read this PLEASE stop stealing from me.

It'd be funny as hell if you had a 5x5 plot and were leaving things outside it.

Leave and re-enter the building several times. Scent appearance is somewhat random, and if you have lower exploration then the person who left the scent has stealth, it'll be even less likely to appear (until of course it won't appear any more, at all) As well, put up a fence of some kind and droppable items in front of your door. They'll have to break the fence and move the objects out of the way in order to get inside; actions that will spawn more scents which will give you a better chance to see one of them while you dance back and forth through your front door.

Also, pimp out your exploration skill.
