Like the tittle says. We can make a stitched casting out of 3 entrails and a string so why not allow us to cut up 1 intestine in to 2 entrails, makes sense to me.
The reason I suggest this is that I often find myself with a shortage of entrails and a large over supply of intestines, due to the way certain recipes need a lot of entrails. A look at some of the offers at the market stands tells me I'm not the only one with such a problem.

This makes no goddam sense. Sure, you can make some pieces of cartilage, meat and small intestine into a casing, but, how the fuck does you make a liver out of intestines?
"Oh, we're out of entrails? not that bad, let me just cut up some intestines then make more liver and onions"

Well then you can call it something else then, like the stitched casting is a separate item from intestines.juniormayrinck wrote:This makes no goddam sense. I'm thinking of recipes like - Grand Haruspex, Mirkwood Offering, Ouroboros, Untanned Rot. None of these require any specific part of a creatures anatomy (unlike liver and onions). They only need a certain amount of the assorted bits found inside an animals belly. For that reason cutting up intestines seems perfectly reasonable to me.

maybe the argument could be made most animals could use a bit more entrails, not as much intestine?

we seem to have the opposite problem. to many entrails and not enough intestines.MagicManICT wrote:maybe the argument could be made most animals could use a bit more entrails, not as much intestine?
but i believe that the 'fix' to this issue is getting a little over complicated. instead of creating a new item, why not just request that the recipes be changed to allow intestines as well as entrails?Myrgard wrote:juniormayrinck wrote:I'm thinking of recipes like - Grand Haruspex, Mirkwood Offering, Ouroboros, Untanned Rot. If I may propose a alternate solution, maybe trade intestines for entrails?MinionTwo wrote:we seem to have the opposite problem. to many entrails and not enough intestines.MagicManICT wrote:maybe the argument could be made most animals could use a bit more entrails, not as much intestine?

Intestine is entrail by definition. There should be some way to convert these intenstine item into entrail item. Maybe just allow intestine to count as entrail.

Sounds like a good idea, other option is to add some recipe so you could "slice" intestines to entrails.Ysh wrote:Maybe just allow intestine to count as entrail.

can't help but be against this. doesnt make sense, plus i wish i had your problem. the group im with always has more entrails than intestines. as the others have pointed out, trade sounds like your solution. try heading to the community fair and the forums. see if someone will barter with you.

It doesn't make sense to use just any random organ for haruspex.
