Too often there are threads about people who dont know that questgivers can exist underground.
There should be some kind of thing to prevent this, for example. The arrow could look different if the questgiver is not on the same layer as you. Or then you would get notification "the quest giver appears to be below" when you reach the place above him.
Probably many people dont even report underground questgivers to forums, but just abandon the quest and think that its bugged.
I dont think it would be too much work to implement, and would fix the issue of weekly threads about questgivers missing.

Do something to underground questgivers

I'm not sure that I have a strong argument against sketch colors - Jorb, November 2019

Re: Do something to underground questgivers
underground quest givers are pretty gay tbh. If i get one underground i'd straight up abandon it, even if i knew it was underground.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Not really any way to avoid it with some of the credos.overtyped wrote:underground quest givers are pretty gay tbh. If i get one underground i'd straight up abandon it, even if i knew it was underground.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

If you go underground and direction icon is still exists - then questgtiver is underground. Pretty simple.
Give a man a game engine and he delivers a game. Teach a man how to make a game engine and he never delivers anything.

Will be fixed at some point. Not sure what the indicator should be, though.

Change tooltip, for exmaple: Retardlung (Undergroung).jorb wrote:Will be fixed at some point. Not sure what the indicator should be, though.

Considered that, but it seemed so discrete that I'm not sure it would help.

You can add "(Underground)" not only to indicator but also to "quest widget", which contains subquests.jorb wrote:Considered that, but it seemed so discrete that I'm not sure it would help.

Change the pointer icon into different color or picture (or both), please?jorb wrote:Considered that, but it seemed so discrete that I'm not sure it would help.
