Game won't load

Recently got a new laptop and was trying to play hnh on it.

Default client seems to work fine and loads straight away, but if I use any custom clients, doesn't matter which one the game stays on this blank screen forever and nothing happens.



If I load a character in a cellar on a custom client it's fine but as soon as I go outside it does the same thing. I figured it could be something with my gpu, it has a integrated gpu and a 1070 maxq so maybe javas force using the integrated?
Because I had a popup notification on something about my gpu but ignored it when I first ran the game.
I'm probably completely wrong.

If anybody had this issue before and knows a fix, I'd really appreciate it.

Check to see with your hafen-res.jar. Try swapping them out or try to see if it's a custom res causing you the issue (maybe a skybox or something). Check to see if something appears on the logs that might display something that can help us. Try running plain amber first, if you've already done that, is it the same res it's trying to look for?

Finalizing tileset

Sounds really weird that it would get stuck at such a thing. I can't really help you in detail with custom clients, but maybe check a thread dump to see if there's something else stuck in the deferral thread pools?

So I tried using amber and it had the same loading screen but I got this notification:


So I did a sfc/scannow in cmd and restarted the computer and it updated for a while.
Then when I booted it would open and then automatically close giving me the same notification.

I then uninstalled avast anti virus as I did a system troubleshoot and it came up so I thought I'd give it a shot.
Now it loads and stays open for 5-10 seconds and you can run around and then the same thing happens.
Gonna try reinstall my graphics driver. Bizarre.

Edit:

Found the problem I believe, been able to play without any interrupts for more than 2 minutes.
I had put a regedit for TdrLevel, which I believed would help another game that was crashing but fixed that another way and never restored the regedit. Self inflicted
