waypoints and maps

A while ago I was acting as a "homing beacon" for someone who needed to find our town and kind of wished I could log off. Essentially I wish there was some kind of construction you could make that would provide the same type of arrow that grouped people do.

Also an update for region maps that lets you see where group/party members are.

In both cases the change doesn't change much about the world, and only adds nice functionality that people can avoid if they choose to.

Both ideas sound pretty neat to me.

I don't like the idea of being able to see group/party members on a map, but being able to build waypoints would be awesome, especially if you could name them and see the name on your map, that way you could just say your town is west of "I just built a waypoint" and everybody could find your town by looking for that waypoint on their maps. Plus, once enough waypoints were built you could pretty much get anywhere by going from one waypoint to another.

Allow players to party with the village Charter Stone?

... or someone becomes a member of the village and an option in the travel menu is "Display Arrow pointing to Village Charter Stone". Presto!
