I ducked into one while being chased and after I left it got stuck between me and the burrow entrance. It then bashed it out of existence
Is that normal?

Seems like an odd decision. So the boar is just headbutting a hole in the ground/cave till is goes 'POP' and phases out of reality.

Yes, people demanded burrows to be destructable and as by product of that, animals can now bash them as well, giving You instant K.O if You're inside one when it happens.
