Throwback to Xcom's Blood Maze of W6

Post by jordancoles »

Just stumbled onto this old video in one of my playlists. This build is still probably one of the coolest projects Haven has seen

I like the look and feel of 2.5d isometric video games. And it's not about nostalgia - at least for me it isn't. There's a pretty sizable community of gamers that like it too. It's genre-art appreciation. I loved the art direction of Interplay's 2d sidescroller Out of this World - and I generally hate side scrolling platform games. Legacy Haven with a few gfx mods still looks great.

I got hooked on 2.5d after playing mechcommander gold. And with modern textures that game still looks great.

The maze was awesome. So much detail and story in it all. I loved it.

I never realized that Xcom6000 and Xcom6000 were the same person. It seems so obvious now.

aslo, haven redstone when? It would literally make it my favorite game.
