Re: Can't open haven and hearth!
Are you trying to launch default client or some custom client?

Re: Can't open haven and hearth!
I'm trying to launch the vanilla client. Firewall is turned off/given an acception. I've tried in a folder. Out of a folder. It just loads like 3-7MBs / 36MBs then crashes.vatas wrote:Are you trying to launch default client or some custom client?

Re: Can't open haven and hearth!
So far I've tried to do the following:
- Turning off my firewall, turning off my ad-blocker, turning off my malware blocker
- Clearing my internet cache
- Updating my nvidia geforce gx960 gpu driver
- Trying to clear the game cache
- Restarting my PC
- Not running any other processes while running the game
- Trying it with the ender client
- The only thing that has worked to even get me to the launch screen has been using the outdated amber client but it will not take me to the game screen
- Screaming and throwing rocks at the sky
- Repeatedly trying to open it in vain
- Sacrificing a rabbit to the old gods.

Re: Can't open haven and hearth!
Did you play Haven&Hearth before the rendering update? It might be a problem with "stale resources" where outdated cache files conflict with new ones. At a quick glance, the error message doesn't match up though.

Re: Can't open haven and hearth!
Go to your AppData folder and delete the "Haven and Hearth" and "Haven Launcher" folders.

If you're using an nVidia GPU, downgrade your driver to this version, so you don't crash in game:

Re: Can't open haven and hearth!
So. Not sure what did it but these are the steps I took and eventually, VERY SLOWLY it downloaded and worked!Nightdawg wrote:Go to your AppData folder and delete the "Haven and Hearth" and "Haven Launcher" folders.
If you're using an nVidia GPU, downgrade your driver to this version, so you don't crash in game:
1) Update your graphics driver
2) Update/install the latest version of java
3) Turn off your firewall as you download it
4) Clear your cache! (And check your programs for any appdata just search Hafen where previous attempted installs may have been stored to clear them for a fresh install) THANK YOU Nightdawg!
4) You will have to wait, after it hits the 10MB line it's hard to see it go from 11-12. That's not a reset it's just slow (may take 30-40min)
5) Install from this link instead of the "play" button http://www.havenandhearth.com/portal/autohaven
^ Hope any of that helps someone in the future with the same bug.
