imagine transmitting information instantly, without mediums like cable, waves, just using the very Matrix we live in... hopefully the universe will be a bro and let future generations have thatOne of the potential future applications of both sets of findings is in quantum networks – being able to manipulate and entangle objects on a macroscopic scale so that they can power next-generation communication networks.

Not really sure what the article is even referring to, but that sounds like quite a "popular science" take on the phenomenon. It is well established that quantum entanglement doesn't allow for actually transmitting information faster than light. In fact, since the mathematical descriptions of quantum physics are built on top of special relativity, there cannot be such a thing as faster-than-light communication (under that description). If anything, under such assumptions, you could choose a reference frame under which the receipt of said information would have occurred prior to the transmission, which as you can see would be quite paradoxical.gravesmerch wrote:One of the potential future applications of both sets of findings is in quantum networks – being able to manipulate and entangle objects on a macroscopic scale so that they can power next-generation communication networks.

is latest Nobel prize related to this?

Not sure, since I'm indeed a science layman and somewhat heretic - I think it's a useful interpretation of reality, but not reality itselfThe 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics has been awarded to three scientists whose work pioneered one of the most fascinating tests in the world of quantum mechanics, contradicting Einstein and discovering the strange phenomenon of quantum teleportation.

Einstein didn't think it existed at all. The nobel prize was awarded for proving that it did.
Pretty sure the reason you can't use this for communication is because you have to entangle the particles, and then transport them a distance apart to read. But you can't change any of the states after they've been separated without disentangling them.
So while it's cool and all, it's useless to us and about as fast as sending a letter.
