The river died.
There is a line that the river will absolutely not go to. I traveled a few mini map distant to to see it still will not recede past that like.

That's the border of C2/C3 just a bit north of Constantinople isn't it? (largely unrelated, I just happened to recognize it... I think).
I'm pretty sure that's a case of a river being right on the border of a supergrid and the map generator not doing inter-grid rivers for whatever reason. Thus, a known issue.

Indeed. Suck as though it may. We really need a new mapgen. :)KoE wrote:I'm pretty sure that's a case of a river being right on the border of a supergrid and the map generator not doing inter-grid rivers for whatever reason. Thus, a known issue.

Re: The river died.
I remember a really thin river that had 2 shallow ends but only like, 1 tile of deep water.
It wasn't very long, maybe about 2 screens. It was fun boating on it. =P
No pictures though. I remember it was on the edge of a region grid (?), somewhere around NB...
