IRL extortion

Post by dakenho »

Not sure how or who to really report this to but I had an unpleasant encounter with a pker who demanded that I buy them a toadstool hat or they would kill my character. Not sure on their username because they kept moving around and my character could not memorize them - know this is a open world pvp game but imo this behavior should be come with consequences. I just closed the game and suspect my character will be dead when i try to log back in.

PS - The game allows for a quiet a bit of amenity with how the mechanics work and with this stuff it kind of feels like it shouldn't.

you werent irl extorted, nothing influenced you outside the game

its a simple question of do you want to P2W and not get killed, or do you want to get the usual treatment (death on sight)

if you are disgusted by the option 1, then what gives? just die like a man

You should be grateful for the option now instead of posting threads like this. Older days you would just get killed without any questions asked. Would have that been better? If you choose the hat option, devs will greatly appreciate the extra buck and the killers efforts. They don't care, it is literally free money for them

I think I am starting to see why this game is down to less than 100 players.

smart book says
the illegal action of obtaining money, property, or anything of value by using threats of violence
so it was not exertion cause you can kill in the game legally

Killed for real life money

Post by Sinopaa »

A character named Stepan Bandara Murdered myself and all players at my base asking for a irl hat for $9, after telling the player I would not be paying them real life money they killed me. I understand PvP is a part of the game but murdering over a resource outside of the game is uncool. I would hope there is a way to stop people that are killing for this reason.

Tbh hat or die was part of the game since hats were implemented.
