No more Verified account?

Ok so I haven't played in quite a while. I have 2 accounts since 2012 and return to the game periodically. But, you know, life...

I just noticed that the game is now on steam so I figured I would link one of my accounts to steam, being verified and all. To my surprise, I am no longer verified, on either account.

Did something change? Or did something happen to accounts that weren't active for a long time? Do I need to pay for verified accounts, again?

I've tried to search through the announcements but not finding anything, so I am wondering if maybe I need to hit up admin for a resolution.

Love the game, just haven't had time to play, but I would like to be able to play again.

I can confirm that linking to steam does not remove verification, so if you were verified before, you should remain verified after.

Well, it claims to be one-time, and mine lasted 2-3 years of inactivity so far, but just to be sure, you could go try going from the top bar Account -> Purchase History and see if it figures there or look up the e-mail tied to your account and search for the receipt.

If it's truly gone and you can prove it used to be there, you probably can hit up the devs at that point.

No removal. Your steam account is simply a different one.
Thus the need of linking.

thank you Grog, I understood that part. It just seems that my "verified account" that I paid for a long time ago, on both of my accounts, and is supposed to be forever, is no longer there. Not sure why and wanting some answers.

Are you absolutely sure that those are the accounts you bought verification on, and not different ones?

You could try DM Jorb or Loftar (you can add your email and how you paid etc. that way.)
