Making Gates
How do I make gates to complete fences? I just can't seem to find out.

Re: Making Gates
Cornerposts need to be flanking both sides of the two-tile-wide gate. Also, the would-be gate needs to be on buildable terrain (grass or paved; obvious preference to paved due to less decay). If you have a palisade or brickwall, make sure the cornerposts aren't sealed, too.

Okay, so if I'm looking at the back of my fence, (it's a normal wooden fence) how many tiles of fence should there be?Darkren wrote:Cornerposts need to be flanking both sides of the two-tile-wide gate. Re: Making Gates
No actual fence is required, just the two aligned cornerposts with two empty tiles between them. Mind you, if you've used shift-placement to build them, it won't work, unless they've both been extended from the same shift-placed starting point.
