Ok so i can't seem to make cabinets out side anymore, is this a new update, with the heavy box?

if: yes. you only can build them insinde an house now.

You can, however, build the cupboard inside and then pick it up and carry it outside

From what I understand, they also last precisely 1 (one) decay cycle...
So you might want to work expediently.
