Buildable Curiosities

So, I think one of the major problems with world 5 is going to be overabundance of resources. Now, here's what I think would help this problem, and give people a reason to use those boards, ect. Quite simply, structures that can only be built on a claim, which give LP to the owner of that claim. For instance, a boar head on a stick. Requires the head of a boar, a stick, and some bone glue. Another could be a sacrificial pyre, which would require a fire, several dreams, and some sort of incense. You would have to restock it with sticks and incense every once in a while, but you would get much more LP from it then the boar head. Of course, there should be some kind of limiting factor on how many of these you can have built at once. Perhaps claim size?

i think that is a good idea, once it has been polished up for a bit, because lp is a lot harder to come by now. and it would give a use for a troll skull

I think this game just needs more tribal-esque elements. I want to feel more like a caveman when I start out. ;)

Perhaps, re-do some curiousities and such to evolve through time as your character evolves? For example, start out with nothing, build a fire, then you can start moving up and making primitive crafts and structures.

I do agree though, I think it'd be a rather interesting change. :)

Could be combined with what Goddess mentioned.

I think buildables that the village leaders/Hird can make is more intuitive then putting stuff IN the idol.

So perhapse these buildables act as Authority generators for the Village, they last a few days and add a large amount of authority to the village. Kind of a foil to Authority depleting items banner and statue. Could even replace using individual LP gain as a source of Authority for the village so players have to do something more and different to get village authority. It's even a bit less silly, why is individual learning empowering the village authority, learning generally makes people less willing to follow authority. Grand public construction projects though have historicly been undertaken for the self agrandizement of leaders.
