Didn't want to come off as harsh or offensive. Just making it clear we won't bash the idol, for good reasons. That said, I understand your frustration.

I have no problem working with anyone, but I would be a crappy leader if I destroyed the idol, cut off all access to the crs for the villagers (not to mention their only access to an area safe from raiders, the bwalled keep) because someone who wants the village to fail offers materials for a new idol

my point is, demo was asking why you didnt contact him before starting it if you wanted the original idea back, then, the situation could have been different, and you ignored it. maybe, they might have just laughed at you and refused, like some posts in the previous pages, but if they did so, then you can stop worrying about showing respect to those who originally worked on it as "quitters", you know?

To be entirely honest I didn't know who Demo was, just that some inner circle of ex-Brodgarians had started some village they never opened recruitment to. As Eem said, this is a plan I have had for a while.

I probably would have asked him if I had known him or talked to him in the past. He has never spoken to me either, so I don't see what he expects other than to make drama.

I still know next to nothing about Demo and his group, other than that they just went to war with a major faction and some of his villagers have tried to troll the new players at New Brodgar.

i mean, it would be more understandable why you didnt talk to him if you knew him well as you could have guessed his reaction.
