For an alt with only 300 UA, Id say its not worth it then. People are so far along in this world that you couldnt even hope to fight a well-developed player with that. The only thing it would be usfull for is killing noobs and hermits, as well as ramming stuff.
Maybe if you got them up to pali bashing range it would be considerable, though 12 pearls is a bit steep. Though you have to consider what a huge trust issue it would be. Whats to stop the person who buys it from changing the pass, killing the character, or stealing the gear?
