Nice one - - I came back because I was going to say that if you can bash your hf or don't have one, I'd oath you to my village and let you out that way, it would probably have meant you were then 'lost' though, lol, so at least this way you'll still know your surroundings and if you then build a proper gate, can even stay where you are if you'd want to.

Yes you can break your own hearthfire but you have no control over where you spawn out in the wilderness after.
