Formaldehyde

Formaldehyde + Recently Dead Body + Tanning Tub = Creepy way to preserve your dead friends. Either that, or an even creepier way to say "I love you" to that special person you killed ages ago.

But nah really, formaldehyde would be a nice addition for preserving dead human bodies, or could be used for a taxidermy-like system for animals too.
