Not been in game for a few months, but from what OO am seeing, you can get eggs, meat ect... from the ones that roost in the basic house. One ones that hatch and grow up you can set to the bird house. Once set you and lets say give them a hat or some some foraging item ect..., then they can carry it home. So want the armor, trade for it and send it back to base va pigion. Got some allies, and if you trust them with your pigions ya... its much more fun and complex then what is let on.
