Visitor gates are new to me. I understand hearthlings can't commit crimes after going through the gate until they leave the claim. According to loftar, hearthlings are prevented from doing crimes against that claim until they leave the claim.
If the gate is on an overlapping pclaim / vclaim do you get two visitors debuffs?
Old questions:
Q1: Do I have the same chance of spawning anywhere on the world map or do all the new hearthlings start in the same general area? A1: Everyone starts on there same continent.
Q2: Can the King/Queen position be transferred? A2: Yes. It can even be stolen in some circumstances.
Q3: What is the effect of being "banished" by the monarch? A3: The banished person loses access to realm chat.
Q4: When a realm expands, must the authority objects be built on land already owned by the realm, similar to villages? A4: Yes.
Q5: Can you change the locks of a gate without destroying the entire gate? A5: Yes, if you have a master key.
Q6:Do personal claim owners and village claim members get the Visitor debuff when they go through a visitor gate? A6: No.
Thank you

Realm mechanics work a good bit like village mechanics in the authority position if I recall right. Like most things, jorb hasn't been very forthcoming on the specifics, and it's been reliant on players to fill in the blanks. I've not touched them directly, and not sure if they've been filled in on the wiki.
Ruler can be easily transferred and even stolen under specific circumstances
Banishment is just being invited to the realm(you're probably not a member of a realm, even if you're in their territory). It just means you don't have access to one chat nobody uses. Not a big deal
Border cairns and field cairns can only be built inside their realm, or one level below their realm
