Land of Doom got its realm objects destroyed during the New Years holiday while the realm leaders were away. They have been inactive since. The main objection to settling in Land of Doom is that their bonuses suck. The main benefit is that it's pretty quiet there, so you probably have a slightly lower chance of being raided. If pvpers are gunna camp a thingwall it will be one where they actually expect a bit of traffic.
