So like, wouldn't it make sense to say what time and date we were rolled back to..?

You should read what Loftar said.

I thought it would be clear that he can't tell for sure.

Hello everybody,
before the rollback I had changed my set. when I came back the current set doubled and the old one disappeared is it possible to get a support to recover it?

So 2 gardener pots q220 I used to plant trees are gone and no compensation at all? Someone got items duplicated. Maybe rollback to a more stable save? I can't reproduce myself those lost items and that's a great kick for playing this game. Maybe some more item recovery after crash? Duplication is not good, but loosing key items sucks

loftar wrote: I can't sufficiently express my apologies for letting this happen, but at this point there is unfortunately not a whole lot I can do about it, and there is also no way for me to validate claims of lost things.

To avoid similar problems in the future, I have installed a stack checker at some potentially deeply recursive algorithms, and will also be auto-purging any remaining deeply nested bundles that may have lingered.
