Because they said they'll give less hp now and considering how fast hp per heart used gets capped its probably gonna give you at best maybe 20 hp after using 10 of them. That's not a lot and would require a lot of grind, which is fine if you ask me. There should still be some kind of a late game scaling other than just increasing str beyond the quality of opponents armors. You'd quite literally need to use 100 heart containers to gain 100 more hp at some point.noindyfikator wrote:Bump. I don't understand devs point of view. I never talked to those guys, so idk anything about them.SnuggleSnail wrote:Lol he's talking about North Star, the group we bullied so hard they had their own section in Dakkan's graveyard and joined KoA after saying they wouldn't + Geleorik's who we raided early for all his animals and often called Felix/AD main for help against us![]()
You know this world the first 'big fight' was us vs. AD and we won 4 KOs to 1 after full killing one of their shitters/foragers. But you didn't see it so it's not real, like when you cover ur face while talking to a baby.
I think the hyperbole this retard is taking literally is just that we don't want to go to arranged mass fights vs. the #1/#2 power ranked villages because we'd lose and he's right, even tho we seem to fuck them up regularly by doing hoodrat shit. We're intentionally small and not very many of us are great at combat.
But I also never heard about you fighting AD this world. The one time AD allied everyone against us, you guys wouldn't fight them, but you literally came up with the idea of punishing cringe alliances.
But when AD went to help those scrubs you attacked, you cried.

Every HP above 100 is a lot. If there will be scenario when you can KO someone from 100-0 but not from 101-0 then this system is so bad.HasseKebab wrote:Because they said they'll give less hp now and considering how fast hp per heart used gets capped its probably gonna give you at best maybe 20 hp after using 10 of them. Right now I can see barter stands with buy offers for HP containers. If at the end you can increase your HP by 10% (accessible only for part of players) this gonna be another bullshit gameplay.

The flaw with the "everybody agreeing to team up against the first mega-alliance" plan that nobody expected is that the first people to be blatant about it to made an alliance bigger than the rest of the fighters combined.Nightdawg wrote:
You're kinda right, tho. When it was obvious but not provable AD was working with Arcanum I should've asked the british, animal planet, norsca, and korea to help us be dickheads about it.

I agree with him, I would never do dungeons but I would buy them even if it only gives 1 hp per heart. I would much rather it give con instead of hp.noindyfikator wrote: Every HP above 100 is a lot. JUST TO CHIME IN ON SO MANY MENTIONS OF ME:::SnuggleSnail wrote:I'm never rly sure if ur intentionally misconstruing things as a prank, or if u're just genuinely like 17IQ. Probably a little of both? What I was talking about has nothing to do with fighting.
With that in mind when Trollex complains on the forum that he's running out of things to do, and therefore industry that is a necessity for everybody who wants to be 'relevant', should be grindier Jorbtar should take it with a mountain of salt.
- Trollex's village had >100 people in their discord. Doubtful they all played, but AD is VERY BIG when you include non-fighters.
- Trollex is making his own client, and I know AD has at least 4(?) programmers + Alg/Rawrz are prolly helping him a bit + there's certain more idk of
- Trollex definitely uses bots, because he's used mine (on a more subjective note he's also lowkey insane about pretending they don't save much time, I think because he's just so used to them)
- Trollex works from home, and can play while working usually
- Trollex, when I played with him, was usually online >14 hours a day and on call to be online for more
- Trollex's girlfriend slaves for him at a similar of not high # of hours/day with the same advantages
More people play the game for (directly, at least) non-PVP reasons than PVP reasons, and having good industry as a reasonable goal motivates a lot of people. Good industry should be a somewhat difficult but achievable goal for any village irrespective of PVP, not just for top autists. (which is also why infinitely grinding quality with quests is also bad in a long world)(also I agree with a lot of Trollex's points on industry, just not about where the needle should be because what is required to keep him busy is absurd)
I believe we had 70ish people in the discord which is a fuck ton but yeah almost all weren't fighters, most players in the game in general quit after 2 weeks, our village was no different, etc.
I only started making this client in late November after everyone quit so the entirety of AD pretty much had no client the whole world as everyone quit way before then. Of the programmers in AD only one actually attempted a client but quit one week in and the client I've developed from is based on theirs. The main reason I even started working on a client is because I crashed/froze like 5 times in PVP this world. This is mostly irrelevant though.
I disagree on the bot thing, the bots that you sent me last world were more of small convenience things rather than gamechanging abuse or such. The bots I can think of was an autodrop for mining before it was a client feature, (perhaps a chip stone bot), clover nearest animal, etc. I guess these are considered bots but I wouldn't say these are things that give you an absolutely huge advantage over other players. Also I do have all this stuff in my client and regularly use them. I don't use/have anything that automates entire processes though like smelting, mining, farming, cheese, questing, STEELMAKING
All of your other points are true though so of course I am perhaps an exception because I have access to free time for playing while working and such. Most people aren't going to be able to commit as much time as me.
I feel as where the you and I feel the needle should be probably doesn't vary much or at the very least I feel as what I would prefer is quite reasonable. I think industry in its current state is almost fine UNTIL the 3-4 month period where everyone quits the game. If this game were to reset every 4 months there wouldn't be a problem at all with it, however, Jorb/Loftar aim for an infinite world. My stance is that if they wish to achieve this they need to add mechanics that allow for industry to meaningful progress longer than this first 3-4 months. I am actually a bigger fan of mineholes going even lower on timegates throughout the world that just have higher minimums/maximums on ore/stone quality, perhaps spiraling in its current state is fine enough with this. This is of course is a bit boring, but it's fair. I also think that foraging and hunting need a massive buff and this would favor your idea of the game too (I believe). Hunting shouldn't be checking the same spot every 20 minutes or so, I think nodes should random spawn throughout the world every X amount of time (2 days for example) so that people constantly have incentive to leave their walls and have player interactions forced on them. Foraging should be significantly buffed so that people have a reason to be out foraging. So many fights started in legacy just from running into people foraging the mountains for edels as it was one of the best curios. Anything that forces player interactions is positive for the game and when it all ties in together with things like industry I believe it's a very positive system.
EDIT: Just to note questing up animals is pretty autistic, BUT with tool hardcapping animal quality I don't think it's THAT OP. It's pretty annoying though as questing in its current state isn't at all fun.

Re: Prelude: World 15
You really keep trying to say distance is why you couldn't do any PvP. There's no way you believe that. I know nobody from AD, polska, arcanum or any other group believes that. Not when vortexes, teleports and thingwalls exist. I remember one fight me and raffeh fought all of Arcanum in literally the bottom left corner of the map in some horrible sled fight. We were on some exploration trip and they all ported in via a village teleport.
Proximity definitely helps for the regular fun fights but you knew without a shadow of a doubt that if you turned up at AD or our village youd get a fight. Yet you never did? You really gonna pretend that was unintentional? Even polska or arcanum were quick to give fights. That 1 video I posted of us fighting Dorag + polska was in south continent we just happened to KO someone related to them. I could name so many more fights we had in different parts of the world. I honestly dont believe you even attempted to fight polska, those guys came to our village so many times even when he knew hed be outnumbered.
By the way our village is splitting because we wanted smaller group this world, apparently 10 is too big. I heard AD is splitting too. So the low skill ceiling just got even lower.
Also question for Trollex, did you guys have people dedicated to scaling up local qualities indefinitely? We definitely didn't, pretty sure this is another dumb myth but youd be better placed to speak on that than me I guess since ur apparently a 70 man zerg. To me it just sounds totally retarded lol. I would be amazed if someone is putting that much autistic energy towards something so irrelevant.
