Bob Dole has an intriguing tale to share with all of you.
Once upon a time, just about an hour ago, Bob Dole logged into the game after receiving a Discord notification that our beloved town, Whatever Bay, was under siege.
With a party of four, we set out to confront the raiders, and initially, things were going our way, as one would expect given our numerical advantage. When the raiders retreated to their snekks, I hopped in one, while 2 of our pvpers hopped in another. It looked unloseable.
From Bob's perspective: After engaging in a one-on-one battle with me in the middle of a lake, one of the raiders quickly realized he was outmatched. He leaped out of his snekkja into the water, trying to buy time. Meanwhile I stay in the boat to prevent him from hopping back in to escape.
It looked like a complete victory, we had both the boats locked down, and all that was left was for our pvpers to not leave the other boat, and just wait for me to finish him off.
Our two pvpers perspective from the other boat: Our two PvP experts were still locked in combat with the other raider inside his boat. To my amazement, that raider took his ship to the shore, and decided to disembark. In a puzzling chain of events, both of our PvPers inside the boat followed suit. The raider then simply hopped back into his boat and left our two PvPers stranded on the shore, while he went to aid his comrade, who was stalling in the water.
Perhaps due to the shock of their first true PvP encounter, they were too rattled to hear my pleas for someone to bring a boat and rescue me. It was, regrettably, a "Riparoni" moment, because no matter how long I stalled, help wasn't actually coming.
The end result was three valiant PvPers sitting on the shore, helplessly watching me contend with a 2v1 situation, which eventually led to my unfortunate demise(drowning in the water). I'm confident that this was a valuable learning experience for all involved, and I, of course, have no intentions of quitting. To the fortunate soul who was lucky enough to escape bob doles wrath, turn the tables, and claim my skull instead due to our groups gross incompetence, well done; you earned it. Our group's collective blunders merit some reward.
Normally, I wouldn't share the tale of my demise, but this one had to be the most amusing deaths I've experienced in any world.
