How you can steel "meta"? It simply contradicts the meaning of the word...

Guys I once played this game called Minecraft and I was so fucking good at this game mode called bedwars and I was so good at it I made the creator so mad he banned me lol what a nerd doesn't matter I was hopping bed wars servers anyways. Me and my chad friend are so good you should listen to us we know a thing or too. Sadly I didn't have a license for FRAPS so you'll never see how good I was but I swear bro holy shit I was a demigod, a real demon of the lobby

I never claimed to be the sole inventor.
There's like a handful of attacks that can do any damage in this game lol.

I refuse to believe nobody else ever fucked around with SoS before.

But we had been planning to use it for WB PvP before W15 even dropped.

fixed that for you, but you could substitute moot with apples for oranges or dwarves & thieves and it would still be true

I missed this one, but in fact I do agree. It's what I was getting at regarding the distinction the devs make in the developer thoughts on pvp. Every player performs actions that affect the game world to some extent, and thus every player is participating in "player versus player" content simply due to the nature of the game. PvP is not limited to combat between players, like the devs says, combat is just a means to an end.

No need to be concerned, you are not at risk of losing any brain cells. You would need to have a brain for that.

u dont seem to understand how what meta means. If someone popularizes ravens bite next world and everybody suddenly realizes its an op deck and runs ravens bite, does that mean everyone who tested it previously in spars and shit can be like "i did that first" ? No, ofcourse everybody has tested ravens bite, and sos and every other move at some point in time lol. Unless you actually prove its viability in real pvp to the point that everyone switches deck then all you have is untested thoughts. Im willing to bet you have actually done spars with ravens bite and other moves too and you would literally say the same thing if that did end up being the next meta lol.

As a side note, the fact that this move suddenly became an unstoppable meta in a game with barely any moves despite existing for a long time just shows how casual this game is in reality. It only further reinforces my previous point that any tryhard guild from another game would easily end up as a OP top tier group in haven.

Whenever someone says "I dont do pvp" what they are actually saying is "I have to run from everyone I see and even the worst pvpers like nocturnal can take my shit if we cross paths in the wild". Theres no getting around the fact that its a pvp game so Ive always thought its a stupid comment to make. Especially the outright refusal to learn a very simplistic system to be able to defend yourself. Ive found for the most part it tends to be because of all the misinformation regarding bots and clients etc people assume running into others = certain death. In reality if you just learn the absolute basics youre already ahead of 90% of population.

MightySheep wrote:Thats the opposite of what Ive been saying. I've been saying pretty much every good player is because of their game knowledge and effort. Things like client advantages make 1% difference.

Hmm, or could it possibly be, that the combat is just bad and most people don't like it? I've never once felt like I need to spend any time learning or even preparing for combat (I have spent time on it, only saying it doesn't feel necessary or productive in the least) in any of the more recent worlds given that I can simply rely on alts to do everything these days and ensure my better characters stay safe behind a wall while "combat" characters get taken outside.

Or it is just that you don't even have a tenth of the other's stats so it's not even worth trying to fight.

For many reasons, including bots.
