funi meme or whatever, but unironically yes. If an obtuse mechanic the developers know about has been public knowledge for years it is no longer a bug.
It is very clear to me, and to everybody, that you would be autism arguing in the opposite direction if you were the one who got banned for reporting a bug.

Loftar literally manually intervened for many of these things and nearly immediately after attempted to push bugfixes, and your position is that because it may still be possible to recreate the exploit it's clearly intended, and therefore you retroactively never exploited.
In other cases you insist it wasn't an exploit because you didn't abuse it as badly as you could have.
Those are really cool stories bro.

Jorbtar did not intervene in any of the cases you described except for the well.
These things did not "retroactively" become not bugs, they were all publicly known mechanics for years prior to your example.
All of this is entirely irrelevant, however. If I should've been banned for those things, then I should've been banned for those things.
Depriving somebody of an inventory of paintings for less than 8 hours and reporting two visitor bypasses in a week should (very obviously) not result in a ban.
Unironically very blatant bug bounty retaliation

This one is actually pretty ironic now I think about it. The nerds I stole the inventory of paintings from used this against our group multiple times during W16. Nobody gave a shit.Robben_DuMarsch wrote:Didn't you bugraid a fucking market placing a catapult inside a knarr, rendering it unbashable?

Yeah they did.
Crazy how that happened, tho.
Snail, you should move to America.
You're the kind of guy that would walk into a police station with a stolen firearm, shoot a cop, and argue that you were simply delivering the stolen bullets to the authorities.
You'd fit right in, tbh.

Snail, this is the easiest way to avoid getting banned next time.
Stop using bugs on other players’ bases.
You are still abusing a bug with PartyPerms + 99% soak on palisades.
Regarding the catapults:
This happened during Christmas 2024, right after a faulty patch that was supposed to remove the ability to destroy palisades with catapults. The patch was broken at that time.
This situation occurred on the Korean/Chinese base.
Explain why you continue to exploit bugs.

Here is a video from late W16 where edgeville blatantly exploited a bug on video to invalidate ~40 hours of siege. I would argue in terms of damage done one of the most harmful uses of a bug in the last few years. As far as I know, they did not report the bug.
Do they deserve a ban?
Most people, including me, would argue no. What I did had an incomparably lower impact on other players, and was done in service of finding/fixing a bug that could've been extremely detrimental to the health of the game, instead of self serving to win a PVP engagement.
An unbiased person could not justify the former being ban-worthy and the latter not.

The video you linked only shows someone raiding a village while the palisade is being repaired.
That behavior has been known for a long time and, as far as we know, Loftar is aware of it.
That’s very different from actively abusing bugs to remove permissions or bypass base security.
So my question is simple:
If that example is considered acceptable or at least tolerated, do you believe this justifies raiding other players’ bases by abusing bugs that cause loss of perms or bypass intended mechanics?
Finding or demonstrating a bug is one thing.
Using it against other players’ bases for personal gain is another.
Do you believe those two things are really comparable?

IMO any kind of bug abuse should be treat seriously. Unironically we play hardcore perma death pvp focused game where developers specialize in permadeath and forum drama.

Xir, I stole some paintings that were returned within 8 hours in the process of reporting 2 different visitor bypasses. I promise you they didn't give a fuck, and it was VERY CLEARLY done with good intentions AND good results.
It is very clearly not intended behavior, and at the time was a new bug. An oversight from from the main mode of sieging being moved from catapults to rams. Every single method of damaging a wall incurs a 2min repair timer, and siege simply doesn't work without that. It is disingenuous to pretend that was not a bug, and disingenuous to pretend they did not abuse it for their own benefit.ChomikBBT wrote:The video you linked only shows someone raiding a village while the palisade is being repaired.
