Idk if it was related to idea I proposed, but thank you, it's basically what was needed!

Re: Game Development: Village Bomb
Please make it harder to maintain villages. This change alone looks useful, but what you don't see is how villages are weaponized.
Large groups literally spam them next to their opponents for easy access. They're as hard to raid as any regular village, so nobody will ever bother doing that because a new village can just pop up overnight.
Because authority is that easy to get even when playing solo, villages often grow outside to claim the nearby questgivers. It shouldn't be like that.
But the main issue are the villages with charterstone on their territory, the offensive ones. Only active villages with several people should be able to maintain a charterstone, not a random alt that gets random curio once a week, it's ridiculous.

Re: Game Development: Village Bomb
Much needed QoL for player groups who manage multiply villages or take part in multiply villages.
I know CoS for one has asked for this with examples in world 16 and world 16.1 where we used alts and mains in multiply villages to basiclly get around the need to be part of a village ever.
This change now lessens the need of alt'ing.
Thank you

Re: Game Development: Village Bomb
personally i'd be ok with them re-adding the claim power system but only on a really short, fast time scale to prevent situations like this. something like you can raid a village in 1 hour on its first day of life, 3 hours on its second, and on the third or fourth or fifth day they're fully protected like any other claim. So if you skip 1 or 2 days of playing and someone has set down a leave-and-forget troll claim you can potentially do something about it. (You'd probably also need to allow using wrecking balls on these semi-protected claims too) (also make wrecking balls dry in 1 hour, there's basically no abuse case for them anymore.)Detharon wrote:

I'd also suggest making it so you don't get to know if a claim is in a weakened state unless you bring a siege engine or wrecking ball up to it and test it. that way griefers have no way of destroying legit claims just by being fast enough, because they might have no idea its still weakened, they'd have to go to the trouble or drying a wball or lugging a siege engine over. meanwhile, if you skipped a day or two of play and log on to suddenly see a troll claim, you know can say for a fact "huh this claim is active but i've only been gone for uhhh 39 total hours so it's definitely in its weakened state, lemme throw down a wball".

A very nice change. Making in-game alliances will be much easier. Though I can see some potential for griefing here.
