Surely the hermits and traveling merchants are engaged with the 'harder' PVE they asked for; Jorb, bears can swim.. imagine if they climbed into someone's boat...

Re: Game Development: World 16.2
I’ve been playing for about 12 years. I love this game, but what’s happening in this world is just too much. Three bases destroyed, robbed four times. I’m a PvE player; I’ve never killed or robbed anyone. It’s a real shame there’s no longer a place for players like me. I’m tired of building and gathering everything all over again, just because someone destroys it all for fun and steals sticks... It used to be a great game, but now all I can do is say goodbye and wish you all the best.

"...bears can swim..."
Bears also frequent caves IRL. That would be a nasty surprise in this game.

Re: Game Development: World 16.2
Sooo...boat hunting was nerfed because it's unrealistic for an animal being killed from afar to stare angrily at the hunter from the shallows. Fair.
How is it realistic for a boar to absorb dozens of arrows without slowing down or weakening? Maybe a giant boar, but your average wild eurasian swine? Really? For the difficulty involved in killing them, animals are much too spongy. Let's not even talk about bears. Considerable QL or stat grind are now necessary to even consider solo hunting. Why are the most basic throwable spears mid to late game, walled behind hard metal? I think right now animal hunting is an incoherent mechanic. Doing it competently requires tools and stats that require many dozens of hours to attain, and at that point, most hunted game is less valuable.
If you suppress cheese instead of fixing the broken mechanics provoking it, lazy people will leave the game and committed ones will find even more retarded cheese, which you will, for some reason, waste your time getting angry about - instead of fixing the fucking mechanic.

Re: Game Development: World 16.2
i know what you mean but it's only like 8 q20 bone arrows out of a q20 bow to kill a boar. that's neither illogical or grindy to me.Szat wrote:I mean being shut out of hunted game does make that grind even slowerRegulus2424 wrote:You didn't engage with the quality grind enough!
