Killing them without cheese can be really tedious, especially stuff like moose and bears who deal a lot of damage. Can you at least make them give like 3x the amount of drops like you made Salem animals give huge amounts of meat.
Like right now killing anything early on, you lose like most of your health bar and then you have wounds which takes like a whole day to heal to only gain 20 boar meat, which translates into very few feps. That feels really unrewarding and just tedious. Same goes for killing stuff like mammoths, if you can manage to scrounge up a team to kill one to then find out its only q80 and you have to share the meat with the people you kill with, this feels awful. There should be a very large amount of meat and bones as compensation, it was bearable when you can basically free kill everything without taking damage, but now its a whole hassle to deal with only to get meagre rewards.

As always, pointless change that only increases gap between players.
Pisses me off it was done as ninja fix.

Being ready to fight bear implies such a high level of development that tier of products it gives are miserable comparable to food and gear you use at that stage.Zepar72 wrote: "It's unprofitable to fight enemies i'm not ready to fight". . .Working as intended then
So when you enter late game and unlock steel swords, cheese and expensive spices you are able to get early-mid game tier food from bear, what kind of game mechanics is that?
Or do you imply you build group of 3+ people just to kill a bear? What's the worth of it's products in that case, you get 3 sausages each from that venture? That's a waste of time, I'd rather fish/craft some unusual recipes to get same stat equivalent.
Would also love to hear what is your stance on orcas, whales, mammoths and trolls, and whether they should be killed at all or be sacred 0 number of Loftar's "total killed per world" table.

In some MMORPG i played many items lose value as the world ages, since the marked becomes saturated with them. I think this is what happens here. Since a bear cape or WWW are so easy to get by cheesing, people undervalue them heavily. So you're trying to use your cheese-developed mindset vs a situation that would happen for a world without it.Fostik wrote:Being ready to fight bear implies such a high level of development that tier of products it gives are miserable comparable to food and gear you use at that stage.Zepar72 wrote: "It's unprofitable to fight enemies i'm not ready to fight". . .Working as intended then

So to answer, it would be a game mechanics for a slow world. No bear means no STR, no str means no steel, no steel means . . And so on.
And i fully imply that bears could be hunted in groups, yes. They're basically a strong lategamr enemies, so the fsct it's so easy to cheese them by hermits is sad as always.
But yea, in this regard some things locked purely behind timegates, like cheese food would have to be nerfed to compensate. I do think they are way too good for the little challange they require.
My stance on orcas / whales and especially wolves is . . . I have no idea why were they implemented. I dont like them, they seem to be made to be cheesed by how impossible they are to tackle in any other way

Re: Buff animal product if you're going to make them hard to
I'm actually trying to view it from point of game mechanics, where bear tend to be early-mid tier game prey, meaning it should be achievable and usable on it's level and not postponed to stages of development where it's products become useless for you. Improperly designed model of complexity I consider a bad game design, where part of game mechanics can't be used properly.Zepar72 wrote: In some MMORPG i played many items lose value as the world ages, since the marked becomes saturated with them. And touching pre-existing cheesing mechanics - we still needed hard metal weapons or bow with a lot of arrows to hunt them. Stats and skills that were required were not zero, there were always effort/or gate present to be able to hunt them.
Speaking of hunting with groups - I especially made a point of it being worthless spend of time, when group of people gathers they could spend time much more efficiently doing dungeons or other ill-intended activities of harming other players.

Mammoths probably never went through any tweaks in terms of difficulty vs reward in the past because people cheesed them from the start. To actually fight a mammoth properly is barely worth it. It's a massive hassle for not much reward.

Made hunting take more time and drain your resources (hp/armor/arrows), didn't increase the rewards at all, keeps making hunting more difficult with ninja patches, still no increase to rewards. People don't like it? wtf? ![Trollface ¦]](./images/smilies/troll.gif)
+1, make hunting worthwhile over everyone just having fishing bots and eating fish up to 400 stats.
