Survey Larger Areas of Land

Post by rye130 »

A 31x31 survey isn't very big when you are trying to flatten an area for a village. A bigger region would be seriously helpful.

Because you have to click 2 times, that's a real grind! ;)

It's simply easier - in a large plot, the dirt moves itself to the spots needed. If you split it into smaller chunks you have to move the dirt by hand. Which even with a 8x7 inventory is a pain in the backside,

It would also be nice if the it easier to move the level of the survey by 1 level, the bar right now is kind of difficult to work with

I wish it was possible to overlap surveys so I can have one person or Alt digging an area down why another one is using the material to raise it and having stockpile area shared for dirt that would make surveying and Terraforming a lot easier that's my only gripe with the current terraforming thing even with bot clients it's annoying to do terraforming to me a larger area is actually less useful there's only one character can do it at a time

This is already possible. You need two non-adjacent survey areas and then a layer of dirt piles between them. Both surveys will share those same dirt piles. One unfortunate fact is that you have to eventually re-place the piles if they run out.

You can close the survey window while terraforming and you can reopen the same survey window with another character. The old character will keep terraforming and you can dig or edit the survey as the old character is terraforming.
