Ah okay.. Then I suppose the door only becomes visible after construction. Thanks for the quick reply!

One related Q:
When placing a cupboard, how is the facing determined? By my character's facing at the time of building?

By the way. I discovered that you can place a cupboard in a rowboat. However, I can only lift a cupboard when it is empty. Even if there is a single chicken feather in it, I cannot lift it anymore. Is this strenght-related, or is this a bug?

It's deliberate. Cupboards have huge capacity, but are extremely easy to build. If you could carry them while stuff was in them there'd be no point in having chests or straw baskets in the game.martinuzz wrote:By the way. I discovered that you can place a cupboard in a rowboat. Cupboards are meant to be stationary boxes of stuff, like, well, cupboards, they're not meant to be chests full of items you can lug around. That's what chests are for.

Makes sense.. Straw baskets it is then.
I must say, after 5 days of checking this game out, I like it. Squatted myself a cosy little long-abandoned place and expanding it.
Even got me some silk farming started up, with thanks to a kind veteran player for donating the initial coccoons.
