If a village claim goes over a cave or a minehole it should just cover the minehole surface area or in the case of the cave a pclaim sized box around it which you could then extend from.

I mean people will have to make alt towns for lower levels if they do want to claim underlevels anyway. Not that I see much reason why they would other than vaults.
Rather than making it automatically extend to 5, make it so you can banner on L2 that extends to L3?

It's still less hassle than building an alt town, but new territory doesn't have to be free y'know?
I didn't meant it should go down automatically. I meant it should go down through mineholes for a limited area the minehole acting like a banner or statue on both levels. If you build another minehole in that area or a banner extending from that area you go down another level so on and so forth. I think I read the initial post wrong. We're arguing same thing sorry.

+1

If the claims were supposed to extend below ground then that's how it should work

I agree with Kaios. Claims should be extended from a small existing section if claimed over from above.

This would be a very good feature to get into the game as soon as possible, ideally before people start building separate village idols under their towns.

Cool, glad we're on the same side then. I think this would be pretty neat if it gets programmed.

Would be great to have asap, I don't want to deal with the headache of oathing and reoathing due to alt towns.

W7 - Elvenia, til we all got lazy.
W8 - Cult of R'lyeh, til the deeps called us back.
W9 - Tartarus, til death/wizards came for the land itself.

Would you even need alt vclaims now that crossroads are dead and you can't use vclaims as a weapon anymore?

its mainly do to claiming nodes and under city.
Currently I have a few places that my Vclaim should claim cuz of the mine hole....but cant. instead need to throw up a claim on the bottom and expand it so the miners have somewhere to work, and I need to keep feeding it so that it does not die....really annoying (little) task.

the town claim also helps so people can grief claim areas of your mine....whats a real issues at the moment in my mine...
