The times where it's worse than death for an established player are for cheap throwaway alts. And that's actually a problem the suggestion is supposed to solve. Throwaway alts have distinctly negative consequences in game, and this allows PvP to handle some of those negative consequences.

Dole is bringing in all the good ideas, or at least blatantly stealing them and making them his own.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Solution: Only allow spawn 1 char per 24 hours on one account

That solves nothing, and just hurts regular players.

Yeah, the best two ideas to minimize impact on regular players is having an LP limit on inheriting, or the "Return to wild" option when KO'd.

I sort of like the second option more because it can be used for reasons OTHER than dealing with alt spam, and adds a new view into winning fights and junk.

Though, could also be abused to save outlawed players. If you're getting raided, you KO all the outlawed players and send them to the wild.

lol.. it would be faster to just run away than coordinate that.
A good way to stop that being abused in pvp though, is to make it take you 5 seconds to teleport them.

Not what I meant

I meant a base being raided with offline players who are outlawed
