Also, as for scents, sure, we were fairly visible, but even if we hadn't left scents, we still could have gotten bashed just as easily, so it's only vaguely related.

Not really, but whatever. They knew about our base and we knew about theirs, if we had thought of Vandalism for early palibashing we would have done it to them, for sure.
