So get this straight - the difference between the new lock types is only relevant to houses and chests, or more to the point the time it takes to pick them, you can lock a steel gate with a wooden lock and it won't make any difference.

That is so. Less than optimal, perhaps, but we obviously didn't want to make gates pickable.Myrgard wrote:So get this straight - the difference between the new lock types is only relevant to houses and chests, or more to the point the time it takes to pick them, you can lock a steel gate with a wooden lock and it won't make any difference.
That being said, you may want to install steel locks to be future-proof.

Or you just might consider adding different material based lock requirement to various gates - as in if someone has the materials to build a steel gate (and the brick wall to go with it) than that person also can spare the steel for the lock.loftar wrote: That is so. Yes, so now instead of robbing houses, I'll just break them down and get everything thrown out of the house, thanks guys... (Why is no one mentioning this?)jorb wrote:We've been developing, and here's what's new.

cause kung-fu housing is much harder then it was before, no one can walk over and punch a house to the ground on a whim as much as they used to... though that can change

Now we have more incentive to break down every house on a person's village we raid.Redlaw wrote:cause kung-fu housing is much harder then it was before, no one can walk over and punch a house to the ground on a whim as much as they used to... though that can change

Well, conversely, that's something the builder of a house has to consider, quite simply.infectedking3 wrote:Now we have more incentive to break down every house on a person's village we raid.
