Abilities are tied to physical appearance too strongly

Post by theTrav »

Leather Cape looks cool, however merchant robe gives you extra pockets.

I will never take my pink robe off now that I have it, even though I'd prefer to look a bit different.

Walking around Sodom I'm seeing more and more people wearing exactly the same outfits, simply because those outfits provide the best stats.

In some ways it's good as it gives a clear indication of the capabilities of the character you can see, however it's also a bit mono-culture ish and boring.

I don't really have a good solution. Maybe just more content / variants (dies anyone).

Do other people find this a problem, or is it just me?

Simple solution, the ability to craft inkweed into dye to customize the color of stuff.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.

You're a larper so that's ok but I would like dyes for all items as well as heraldry. I want a Sodom uniform. Then we can go around and kill anyone wearing our uniform without permission (spies of course).

I'd love to have dies that are slightly more customizable to allow enough customization where people can have 'uniforms' that identify their city. :)

I'd wear yours every day.

This will give birth to espionage. Just another tool that will allow the enemy more ability to sneak into your settlement.

And that is bad why...?

It would be cool if clothing reflected playing style a bit more too. Then wardrobes might actually be useful.

I wouldn't mind a different coloured robe...
