Here's my idea:
Beautiful dreams are always stuck on q. 10, why not have your current mood affect the quality? When you're at 0% mood, it's at q. 10, with the quality going up/down based on mood, the happier the higher quality, the unhappier the lower quality, going all the way to 50%.
What if your mood is above 50% happy, though? At that point you would get "An Holy Vision!" If your mood is above 50% unhappy, you get "A Horrible Nightmare!" The qualities would be affected the same way beautiful dreams are, starting at 50%.
These could be used in recipes that call for beautiful dreams, or in variants of stuff like seer's bones and seer's tea leaves, called necromancer's bones, necromancer's tea leaves, priest's bones, and priest's tea leaves.

Re: Variant of Beautiful Dreams
I'd think you would have a better argument of equating higher quality dreams from higher quality materials used in construction. The mood bar is just a left over item I do believe. Besides I can hear the complaints of what should affect mood now.
