Proper roads
Building a road should automatically pave the ground from one signpost to another in a 3 tile wide range, meaning stomped ground for wooden posts and gneiss for milestones. Building costs or building time should probably scale accordingly too.

Re: Proper roads
if the material cost and difficulty is going to increase anyway, why not keep them as separate actions?

That would be cool, I'm for it. Would it be possible to make shallow water through rivers like this? Like a form of teraforming.

1 - no one would do it as they already don't now, and paved roads in the wilderness are useful for several reasonssynaris wrote:if the material cost and difficulty is going to increase anyway, why not keep them as separate actions?
2 - increasing doesn't mean equivalent cost. It could be just a longer building time to discourage people from using this to pave large areas too easily.

Surely would be cool something like that ... but it's not doable I think, can you imagine what a mess the world would be just after a couple of weeks?

Re: Proper roads
Skeptical about that. Suddenly I find people building roads only to pave.
